How to use SMPlayer

SMPlayer is a media player that plays or streams almost any audio and video file.

Front-end for the multimedia player MPlayer, which in addition to the standard functions displays advanced functions such as filter settings in the menu; starts playback of a file after interruption at the last seen position and with the same settings, such as subtitles or language.

The open source tool SMPlayer plays all DVDs, video streams and movies without constantly asking for the right audio or video codec. For this, the free player uses the engine from MPlayer. Various deinterlace and noise filters ensure optimal output quality.

Conveniently, the tool also remembers the last settings. If you have to interrupt the playback, the film will continue at the next program start at the point where you left off – with all your settings (image format, subtitles, audio output, etc.).

How to Play YouTube Videos in SMPlayer

Other features include the built-in YouTube browser for quick access to hot YouTube videos and the ability to change the player’s interface via skins.
